At Phoenix Surgical Dermatology Group, we are proud to offer the SilkPeel Dermalinfusion.
What is a SilkPeel?
The SilkPeel is a patented exfoliative device or procedure that removes the skin cells in the uppermost layers of the skin. These are typically flaking or shedding cells that can make the skin appear dull or scaly. The device uses a diamond-tipped handpiece to gently abrade the skin coupled with a vacuum-induced device to remove debri from the skin. Finally, personalized serums are infused into the skin to improve texture, color, acne bumps, and dullness.
What are the benefits of a SilkPeel?
The SilkPeel Dermalinfusion can be used on most people, but is highly effective at treating oily and acne-ridden skin. It can gently improve the appearance of wrinkles with several treatments. It hydrates dry skin and can diminish age and sun spots. Because of the lack of downtime, this is often referred to as a “lunchtime” or “lunch hour” procedure.
How often can you get a SilkPeel Dermalinfusion?
Treatments are generally recommended in a series of 3-6 sessions, 2-4 weeks apart for optimal results.
What does SilkPeel treat?
SilkPeel improves and treats the appearance of many skin conditions, including acne. It can also be beneficial for melasma, age spots, fine lines and wrinkles. Because of the microdermabrasion properties, SilkPeel is excellent at extracting blackheads and clogged pores.
Is SilkPeel painful?
Most patients find SilkPeel to be quite comfortable and relaxing. At Phoenix Surgical Dermatology Group, your SilkPeel will be performed in a dedicated spa room aimed at relaxation. Patients do not requires any anesthesia or topical numbing.
Can I wear makeup after a SilkPeel?
Since there is no downtime after SilkPeel, you may apply makeup and return to activities such as work immediately. Some patients may be pink for up to an hour after treatment.
